Pat Petrie led the team with a great qualifying run, turning his fastest lap time of the year in the biggest race. He qualified a 15.9, which landed him directly in the A Feature in the 12th position. This was the toughest field ever at The Fall Classic, with cars from all over the Southwest, and some from the north, as far as Canada. The new shock package built by Crew Chief Joe Petrie and engine built by Universal was the key to the weekend. Pat was able to skip the qualifying races because of his qualifying time and started outside row six. After battling back and forth from position 10 to 15, there was a 5 car pile up in turn 2 and Pat was involved ending his night early. He ended up with a 24th place finish.Jim qualified 31st out of 52. The competition was the toughest seen at The Bullring in quite sometime, with the likes of Nextel Cup Driver Kurt Busch, NASCAR National Champion Greg Pursley, and Southwest Tour and Irwindale Track Champion Rip Michaels all competing. Jim started his qualifying heat near the rear and going into turn 1 he pushed it three wide. The lead singer of the band Smashmouth, Steve Harwell, spun and ended up taking Jim out. The contact had bent spindle, a tie rod, a strut arm, and broken rotor. The crew got the car back together early Saturday morning, and we headed out for our only practice of the day. As we pulled onto the track we lost all power steering, the hose ruptured. We pulled back off and the crew got it fixed in time to get one eight lap session, not happy with the car, we went back to square one. After all of the changes we did not know what to expect in the B-Main. We were starting 21st, thanks to the bad heat race finish, and had to finish in the top three. We worked our way up to 8th before and swapped positions back and forth for the last 5 laps, ending up 10th. The car was good, but there wasn't enough time. For the Super Late Model it was a terrible weekend, typical of our 2007 season, with mechanical failures and a car that just don't like to turn. The 2008 season looks to be much better with the new car, already about 25% complete. In the Charger Division John Wright had the best weekend of his career, while Jeff Bargerhuff, had to end his night early with an over-heating problem. John turned his fastest lap all season with a 17.6 and was running as high as 5th. He ended up with a 6th place finish, his best of the year. Jeff battled near and in the top ten all night before the over-heating issue caused him to exit early, ending up with a 16th place finish. John will be piloting the #1 Charger car next year, while Jeff will be moving up to the Late Model Division.H-Town Racing is very excited about the 2008 Season. With new cars being built for Jim Petrie in the Super Late Model Division, Pat Petrie and Ben Morris in the IMCA/ASA Modified Division, Jeff Bargerhuff moving up to the Late Models in a top of the line car, and John Wright continuing in the Charger Division. Jimmy Petrie will compete full time at The Kart Track at LVMS.Nevada State Bank signed on as our primary sponsor for the 2008 season in July of 2007. Dr Mary Ann Shannon has renewed for the 2008 season as well. We are also currently looking for additional Associate Sponsors for the 2008 season. We look forward with our aggressive marketing campaign, not only for the 2008 season, but during the winter months as well. The Race to Success Reading Program continues to thrive, with the students at Roundy Elementary and CT Sewell Elementary having read over 300 books since Mid-September. The reading program was featured on KLAS Channel 8 News' "What's Cool At School?" on 11/21/07, airing three times during the 6:00 am hour, the 7:00 am hour, and the 4:30 pm telecast. It has also been feature in the View News, and is being considered for the national publication Speedway Illustrated. We will continue to make our monthly visits to the participating schools, along with a car display for the Shade Tree Shelter and participate with CT Sewell in the City of Henderson Winterfest Parade on 12/8/07 in Downtown Henderson on Water St. MOVED TO ARCHIVES 12/4/07 The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway 2007 Schedule NASCAR Whelen All-American Series March 31 – Race No. 1 – Fireworks, Super Late Models, Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Legends Cars, Chargers, Bandoleros, Mopar parade. #1

Included in this sponsorship is the "Race to Success" Reading Program at Vegas Valley Elementary Schools headed by Jim Petrie. Also, Pat Petrie Jr. will make the ASA Modified Series his primary racing in 2008, with some races in 2007. "We look forward to the continued relationship with Nevada State Bank for 2008, We are very excited to give back to the educational community with the "Race to Success" Reading Program, and strive to improve to a premier team in Super Late Models and Chargers at LVMS and a top team in the ASA Modified Series." Jim Petrie 7/31/07 Moved to
Archives 7/5/07 We did it! The crew did an awesome job and we made the race! The car was ready to load up
at 10:30 am on 7/3/07. We plugged along Monday night until about 10:00 pm before we called it a night. The team
met at 8:00 am the next morning while Jim, Pat, and Jeff B. were meeting with sponsor Findlay Chevrolet for 4th of July Parade
float vehicle pick up. Even though we were running out of time we have to take care of our marketing program, they are
the ones that make this happen for us. When we arrived at the shop the car was ready to scale, Jim climbed
in and Joe and Jeff D. started tweaking and turning. After about an hour we were ready to load. "There is not a better team and crew than what we have, period. These guys
worked day and night, whenever they possibly could to get this ready for me, and we ended up getting our first top ten
(10th) in this car. We will build on this and try to keep improving, and with this crew we can get better."

9:00 am Welcome to the Nevada State Bank Racing Team Findlay Chevrolet
Monte Carlo SS Super Late Model Challenge, watch us as we progress towards our goal of getting the car ready for the Night
of Fire on July 3, 2007. After the worst crash of Jim Petrie's racing career, the team has a tremendous amount of
work to do to get the car ready for the biggest night of the season at The Bullring, with only 8 days to do it. Can
they make it? THE CRASH: After qualifying
in the 12th position, the highest all season, and only four cars from the fast dash, we started outside row two for the heat,
we were running in the fourth going into turn 1 when the engine let go. Jim was unable to steer or stop the car due
the amount of oil on the front tires and he ended up hitting the wall between turn one and two. The car finally came
to rest halfway down the backstretch. THE DAMAGE:
Engine, upper control arm, lower control arm, tie rod, shock, shock mount, damaged front clip, rotor, wheel, two tires, nose,
air dam, body mounts, fender, door, quarter panel, front bumper, brake cooling duct, cooling hoses, front engine mount, and
rear engine mount. THE CHALLENGE: Getting the car
repaired with new engine by July 3, 2007 in time to get to the track for practice. THE OBSTACLES: We have no spare engine for the SLM, need every part listed above
replaced, and get the set up completed after the repairs are made. CAN
THEY DO IT? When Jim was asked he replied, “I have the best crew at LVMS. Let me take that back, we have
the best sponsors and crew, which equals the best team not only at LVMS but in my book anywhere around. We can accomplish
anything with the dedicated team we have." Check back daily
for pics and updates! DAY 1 Monday June 25, 2007: Everybody is working their day jobs so we will not be able to try and unload it until this evening. Crew Chief Joe Petrie, being an administrative educator, is off work until August so he is out gathering as many parts as possible locally. We plan to unload and have stripped tonight, figure out what parts are still needed and ordered. DAY 2 Tuesday June 26, 2007: Day 1 ended with the old saying "We have Good News and we have Bad news, which one do you want first?" We believe it is always best to get the worst over first, so the bad news is that the car is still sitting on the trailer. After a couple of hours of pressure washing and a gallon of Simple Green the team decided it was best to get some rest last night, since we don't know when anymore will come. The good news is that the engine will be ready this morning and we think we found all of the parts. The plan now has changed to getting the car unloaded early tonight. We have decided not to stop tonight until the blown engine is out and the front is completely stripped. If we can make it this far we will be back on schedule. Wednesday will consist of replacing the bent portion of the frame, upper control arm mounts, and engine mounts. Crew Chief Joe Petrie will be working his magic on the frame with some of the team while Jim will tackle paint prep for the new body pieces. Without the best crew of The Petrie Bros., John Wright, Jeff Donohue, Jeff Bargerhuff, Ben Morris, and Sonny Lampkey, there would be no way this car would hit the track on the 3rd. We would also like to thank Cornwell Tools-Carl Brown for the engine and American Racing Supply for the great service on getting all the parts needed Monday. And a special THANKS to www.ronnava.com RPM TV which has hooked us up with the link of the week and a mention of the Challenge on his weekly show. Ron is a great guy and is a huge supporter of weekly racers, check out his sight, it truly is one of a kind and a jewel for the weekly racers.DAY 3 Wednesday June 27, 2007: Once again, "We have good news and we have bad news, and some more bad news." First, the engine is still not ready and now we are told Thursday, which is ok, since the second part of the bad news is that there is a lot more damage to the chassis than originally thought. This is going to set us back at least a day, which at this time we really can't afford anymore set backs. Luckily we hit it pretty hard last night. The chassis is bare from the firewall forward with the blown engine torn apart on the stand. It looks like if we get some bent valves fixed we can salvage the heads, and that is about it. It appears the #1 connecting rod let go. There were no signs of any heat on or around that cylinder so we are assuming part failure. You could actually still spin the connecting rod (the part left) around on the crank. So the plan for today, level, measure, measure, and measure some more before we begin to cut away the damaged section of the chassis. Prep the chassis for cutting, mock the new piece(s), and replace the bent section and upper control arm mounts. If we can make it this far tonight we still should be on schedule. Then plug away tomorrow with some more measuring, more measuring, and even some more measuring. These steps are actually the most time consuming, everything has to be exactly right or the car won't be the same. So we have told ourselves that we must pace and make sure everything is done exactly right. Sometimes when you have a deadline little things are overlooked, however with a team as dedicated as ours we can make sure all of the little are taken care of to ensure the big picture. DAY 4 WEDNESDAY JUNE 27, 2007: We were able to get the frame together and the upper control arm mounts in place, and that is about all. We are really going to have to pick it up tonight in order to make this happen. Friday has been scheduled as a marketing day with a car display for the Nevada State Bank Racing Team, so we will not be able to hit it again until Saturday. We are still waiting on the engine, once again Special Thanks to Cornwell Tools - Carl Brown, it was supposed to be at the dyno last night and to us today, however still waiting for the word. I won't be able to update until Saturday so I will run down the plan for the next couple of days. If all goes according to plan, which is seldom, tonight complete the repairs on chassis and install all suspension right side suspension. Finish the right side body mounts, and install door and fender. If engine is delivered to shop bolt on all accessories, and have ready to stuff (Thursday). Stuff the engine and get running, begin air dam, front nose, and all cooling accessories installed (Saturday). If we can get this far by Saturday night it will leave us two days to work on the set-up and tweak. Check back for more information and pictures by Saturday. DAY 5 THURSDAYJUNE 28, 2007: Still no engine, we are back to Friday as a delivery date. If we want it by Friday then there will be no dyno break-in or tuning, but at this point we just need the engine. Joe is still working on the chassis, and most of tonight will be spent preparing for the Nevada State Bank Grand Opening display in Mesquite. DAY 6 FRIDAY JUNE 29, 2007: Jim, Pat, and Jeff Bargerhuff spent the day in Mesquite meeting, greeting, and handing out pictures. It was great that Findlay Chevrolet Marketing Director Doug Fleming was able to make it up and see the people. Mesquite is a wonderful place and we had a great time meeting all of the banks customers. DAY 7 SATURDAY JUNE 30, 2007: The engine arrived last night at about 9:00 pm, Cornwell Tools – Carl Brown, waited at the machine shop until completion and then brought it straight to the shop. Today, we bolted up all of the accessories possible, and got the engine in the car. When we started to put on the headers we ran into a problem that ended up costing us five hours. The new engine has studs for the heads, which were hitting the header flanges. Jeff “Jr.” Donohue took over this project, installing and then marking, taking back off, grinding on flange, and the re-installing to check clearance. After the header was on the car five or six times there was finally enough clearance, and Jr. moved on to the other side. This was tricky because we did not want to take too much off because we did not want to weaken the flanges, so a little at a time is all we could do. The rest of the crew worked on other things while Jr. completed the headers. We called it quits around 6:00 pm, after eleven hours. DAY 8 SUNDAY JULY 1, 2007: We started at 7:00 am and worked until about 10:00 pm today. We finished the exhaust and started on the radiator and oil cooler. Joe and Jr. came up with some trick new ways to mount both, not only is it better, it should also increase our cooling capacity. After all that was completed we noticed the tension bolt on the back of the water pump was too tight on the timing cover. After about an hour of trying to fix it with everything on the car we realized we couldn’t. One step forward and five steps back. We had to take the entire front of the engine off and this cost us about three hours. We got the tension bolt fixed and then re-installed all of the cooling accessories once again. We finally fired the engine at about 4:00 pm. We let it heat cycle for the thirty minutes needed and shut it down. The good news is that the temps stayed in range and there was only one small oil leak. We fixed the oil leak and ran it another twenty minutes for break in. After the break in we started on the body. We got the doors, fenders, air dam, front bumper, and nose on and called it a night. WHAT’S LEFT? We have to install the correct rocker arms and re-set valves, another heat cycle, bleed throw out bearing, make sure shifter & clutch are working, and then the set up. After set up we will need to re-check all of the body for correct height and a once over on the entire car. We are down to about 24 hours before the car needs to be loaded and on the way to the track. Moved

RESULTS #1 Super Late Model - Jim Petrie 6/23/07
- Feature DNS, Heat 8th, Q 12th 6/16/07 - Feature 1 20th,
Feature 2 11th, Q 20th The Chris Trickle Father's Day Double Header ended with #1 SLM having the
best night of the season. After a mediocre qualifying session we started at the rear of feature 1. We met our
goal of surviving in order to be able to start the second race. We started in the 20th position for feature number 2,
and after making some adjustments we were able to work our way up to 11th. We will keep tweaking on the Nevada
State Bank Racing Team - Findlay Chevrolet Monte Carlo SLM and try to improve our qualifying package for next week, so we
can have a better starting position in order to finish better. 6/9/07
- 17th Feature, 6th Heat, 16th Q The #1 ended his night early. After working to try and make
the push in the center of the corner go away, they lost all brakes after lap 20. We had to pull off and finish 17th.
The crew is working real hard to correct the push and braking issues before the double features this weekend. 6/2/07
- 14th Feature, 6th Heat, 14th Q Jim was running in the 11th position before having braking issues.
At lap 31 the brakes went out, and Jim was not able to get into the corners as hard. We ran our fastest lap in a feature
for the 07 season, at 15.6. We also closed the gap from the front to our spot in qualifying. We will be able
to really tweak on the chassis this week to improve our times and shoot for a better finish, this is the first week of the
season where the team does not have to re-bulid the car and/or engine. After a tough start to the season, things are
starting to come around. #1 IMCA Modified
- Pat Petrie Jr. 6/16/07 - 7th Feature, 1st Heat The
Findlay Chevrolet powered Nevada State Bank Racing Team IMCA Modified started out the evening on a high note. Pat started
the Heat Race on the pole position and was able to hold on for the victory. After starting in the third position
for the feature Pat was running a solid race in the second position before being taken out in turn 2 by the #0.
Pat and the #0 were both sent to the rear of the field for being involved in a yellow. Pat was able to work his way
up to a 7th place finish, look for the #1 to be in victory lane real soon. 6/2/07
- 6th Feature, 6th Heat The new engine was firing on all cylinders, and the car couldn't keep
up. With the power of the new engine Pat had to really check up going into turn 1 in the first lap of the heat.
While doing so he dropped to last and had to work his way back to 6th. With the heat race finish of 6th, it placed him
in the rear of field for the main. Pat was able to work his way up to 6th, with some very nice passes. He ran the third
fastest lap of the race and was easily a top five car. With a week off, the crew will be able to make adjustments and
see if we can't get out first win of the year. #1
Charger - Jeff Bargerhuff 6/23/07 - 14th Feature, 4th Heat After starting in the back
of the 8 car heat race jeff was able ti run a very solid race and finish his best all season in the fourth position.
Starting inside row four, Jeff ran in the top ten most of the race before the #30 got into the back of him in turn 3.
Not only did he spin the #01 he hit him after the spin in the left front tire breaking a tie rod and ending the night for
Jeff in the 14th position. Jeff will be back in the #1 Nevada State Bank Racing Team - Findlay Chevrolet Camaro after
the break in September. 6/16/07 - 10th Feature Jeff picked
up his best finish of the year with his first top ten. He was running strong in the top ten all evening when the #7
got into the back of him and ripped the right rear quarter panel and trunk lid off. The body pieces were flapping in
the wind for the remainder of the race and Jeff was still able to pick up his first top ten of his short career. 6/9/07
- 13th Feature After making some solid passes in the heat race, the #01 ended his night early.
The engine in the #01 car expired with about 5 laps to go. Special thanks to Tim Rubel and the rest of the H-Town Crew,
the #01 will be back out this weekend with some new horsies under the hood. 6/2/07
- 13th Feature, 8th Heat Still driving the #01 car of John & Candice Wright, Jeff finished 13th.
In the heat race Jeff turned his fastest lap of the season at an 18.3. He started at the rear of the main and due to
overheating issues had to settle for 13th. Look for Jeff to pick up his first top ten of the season real soon, he keeps
improving week after week. #80 IMCA Modified - Ben Morris 6/16/07
- 9th Feature If Ben was going to play the lotto he would pick the number 9 straight across.
After switching from a two-barrel to four-barrel carb the #80 began to miss at high RPM's. He was able to score
another top ten finish, in the 9th position for the second week in a row, even with the carb problems. 6/2/07 -
9th Feature, 7th Heat Ben, working with an engine down on horsepower, was able to pick up his second top ten in
his first two races in the IMCA division. He can only run as fast as the car goes, 16.4, look for him to pick up some
tenths and spots after Crew Chief Joe Petrie adds some horsies before the next race. #01
Charger - John Wright 6/23/07 - Did Not Race 6/16/07
- Did Not Race 6/9/07 - Did Not Race 6/2/07 - Did
Not Race The #01 car was driven by Jeff Bargerhuff this weekend. Jim
Petrie May Race Results Moved to Archives on 6/4/07 May 26, 2007 - 13th Feature, 14th Qualifying After
our best qualifying place of the year, we were able to tweak on the car and try to improve it for the feature. We were
running near the top ten when we got spun and had to take the car into the pits. After a little muscle from teammates
Pat and Ben the #1 was back on the track minus the nose, fenders, and hood. The quick response from the crew kept Jim
on the lead lap and he ended with his best finish of the season. Thanks to the #22 of Mike Haslam and some set up tips,
the #1 will be out on Friday night trying a few things to try and get the car a liitle looser in the center of the corner
and build upon this race. May 12, 2007 - Missed Race This is the first scheduled race Jim has missed since
2002, the crew was on track to get the Nevada State Bank - Findlay Chevrolet SLM ready for the 5/12/07 race, however some
ordered parts did not come in on time and forced the team keep the car in the shop for the week. As of Tuesday,
the team is still waiting for the parts, but watch for the #1 to to be back on 5/26/07. May 5, 2007 - 18th Feature After
qualifying a half-second faster this weekend the team was hoping to have a solid performance. We used the heat race
as a test-n-tune session for Jim to try and run a more consistent line. On the start of the feature a couple of cars
crashed at the start finish line sending the field all over the track to try and avoid the accident. Jim was able to
avoid the carnage, this time. After a complete re-start the field was able to complete the first lap, then going into
turn one the #32 of Steve Anderson and the #38 of Scott Gafforini got into each other, and caused the field to once again
spin every where. Jim could not miss this one, as he ended parking the car in the driver's side door of the #98
of Travis Swallwell ending #1's evening. Total damage: bent frame horn, radiator, oil cooler, nose, hood, front
bumper, and air dam. Thanks to American Racing Supply for getting the parts so quickly, and Crew Chief Joe Petrie and
the entire crew, the #1 should be back out on 5/12/07 trying to build on last weeks qualifying. Pat
Petrie May Race Results Moved to Archives 6/4/07 May 26, 2007 - 7th Feature, 7th Qualifying With
the new engine in Pat was geared up for another top five finish. However, the car had a miss that we could not find
before the feature and Pat was running down on power. After a nice consistent race he was able to get another top ten
while finishing 7th. After unloading at the shop the crew found four spark plugs that were smashed shut, so a top ten
on a four cylinder engine in not bad. May 12, 2007 - DNS The #1 IMCA was destroyed in the
heat race tonight. On lap two of a ten lap heat race the #7 of Rick Taylor pushed it three wide going into turn three,
which pushed the #12 of Dennis Lovelady into the #1 of Pat sending him into the turn four wall. The car will be
back with some new Horsies under the hood on May 26, 2007, special thanks to Parson's Custom Auto
Body for straightening us out, and getting us ready to run up front. This division has not competed in the
month of May yet. Next race 5/12/07 with a $1,000 prize for first place. Moved to Archives on 5/9/07 Jeff
Bargerhuff May Race Results Moved to Archives 6/4/07 May 26, 2007 - 12th Feature While
driving the #01 car owned by John Wright Jeff picked up his highest finish of the year. He started at the back and ended
up in the top ten for a few laps before ending up 12th. It will be a couple of weeks before the #1 car is finished so
look for Jeff to be out again in the #01 and looking for his first top ten of the season. May 12, 2007 - 21st Another
bad week for the #1 Nevada State Bank - Findlay Chevrolet Camaro. After a solid heat race, the car had throttle issues
and ended up hitting the wall on lap 1 going into turn 1. It needs to be rebuilt from the firewall forward, and special
thanks to Parson's Custom Auto Body for helping us out the #1 will be back to battle at The Bullring. May 5,
2007 - DNS After an accident with teammate Ben Morris in the heat race the #1 car was not able to start the feature.
Total damage: left tie-rod, shock, clutch line, throttle linkage, two wheels, and front bumper. After a week of hard work
the #1 should be back on May 12, 2007. Special thanks to Jeff Donahue for all the hard work. Ben
Morris May Race Results Moved to Archives 6/4/07 5/26/07 - 8th Feature, 8th Qualifying For
his first time in the car Ben was able to run a solid race and score a top ten finish. Knowing he was down on horsies
the car turned very well and Ben had a succesful debut, turning his fastest lap ever in a car at a 16.4. The
debut of the #80 htownspeed.com IMCA Modified of Ben Morris, moving out of the bumping and banging, and trying to earn some
RESPECT! 5/12/07 - 12th Feature Ben had the #80 htownspeed.com car moving to the front, passing
at will, to have it ended by the #8 of Mike Heck. It was a great race with the top five positions swapping spots lap
after lap. Going into turn 3 the #8 drove into the left side rear quarter panel of the #80 causing him to spin, both
cars were sent to the rear of the field with three laps to go. Ben was able to make a few passes and end up with an
12th place finish. 5/5/07 - 7th Feature After getting lauched 4 feet in the air and
the car coming in on the flat bed from an accident with teammate Jeff Bargerhuff, the H-Town Crew was able to get the #80
out for the feature. Ben started in the 18th position he moved the car up to a 7th place finish, turning his fastest
lap ever and the third fastest lap during the race of a 17.55. After a little mending with some body work, Ben should
be able get right back in that top five this weekend looking for his first feature win. John
Wright May Race Results Moved to Archives 6/4/07 5/26/07 - The #01 htownspeed.com will be driven by
Jeff Bargerhuff this weekend, while the #1 is repaired from a crash on 5/12/07. Look for the new NSB and Findlay Chevrolet
colors splashed acroos the #01. We are lucky to have a multi-car team when these problems arise, Jeff would like to
give special thanks to John & Candice Wright. 5/12/07 - 18th Feature The #01 got a little hot under
the hood and forced John to pull off to try and cool it down, after returning without an hood, and a couple of laps down he
ended up with an 18th place finish. Evevn after a bad night the #01 is still in the hunt for the Rookie of the Year. 5/5/07
- 14th Feature John was able to have another solid and clean race. He was able to stay out of trouble
and turn his fastest lap ever, 18.1, and stay in the heat of the Rookie of the Year Award for 2007. Due to losing
his power steering the #01 faded at the end, however it was a good night overall. #1
Super Late Model - Jim Petrie 4/28/07 16th Feature FINALLY! FINALLY! FINALLY !
We were able to finish a complete race. The car was real tight in the middle of the corner and we were not happy with
a 16th place finish, however we made progress by working out all of the electrical and timing issues. The team is chalking
this up as our first real race of the season, and we now have a benchmark on what we need to improve on. We will be
tweaking and trying to get that top 10 this weekend. 4/21/07 19th Feature After
a cam change the engine was finally was running right. However, an ignition box failure on a re-start on
lap seven ended our night early, once again. 4/14/07 20th Feature Once again we were
battling engine trouble. Our diagnosis of the problem was off and we unable to have it corrected by the feature.
Once again we will tear it apart and re-build. With the best crew around I know we can get this fixed. Looking
forward to the 4/21/07 race. 4/7/07 23rd Feature The team has been chasing engine
trouble since opening night and are still chasing it. The team thought it was corrected before going to the track on
Saturday, however it was not. If the trouble can not be found the spare will be in before 4/14/07. 3/31/07
22nd Feature An ignition problem did not allow the team to finish the feature. We were able to
start to ensure some points towards our goal of Rookie of the Year. #1 IMCA
Modified - Pat Petrie Jr. 4/28/07 9th Feature While running in the fourth position
the oil pressure dropped to 0 pounds and Pat had to pull off. This would of been a great finish, however we were bit
again by the bad luck bug. The new engine will be in by the May 12th race and we are expecting it to be high on power
and start picking of those top 5 finishes. 4/21/07 8th Feature With the spare engine
in the #1 Mod we were able to pick up a top ten. Being down on power Pat did a great job with an 8th place finish. 4/14/07
14th Feature Pat had a very solid qualifying session turning his fastest lap ever in the modified at a 15.901.
After starting 9th in the feature he was charging towards the top five when the engine let go. The new one will be stuffed
Tuesday night and we will build on that qualifying run and have a strong showing on the 21st. 3/31/07
8th Feature In a very competitive race Pat started mid-pack and was able to pull out a top ten finish.
The car had some steering issues that will be corrected before the 4/14/07 race that should enable him to get that top five. #1
Charger - Jeff Bargerhuff 4/28/07 15th Feature Jeff was fighting a vibration
in the left front of the car and was able to pick up a 15th place finish in a full charger field. With some practice
this Friday night at Test N tune we are hoping to get Jeff in the top ten this weekend. 4/21/07 24th
Feature While trying to avoid a spin in front of him, Jeff got hit in both front tires. He had to pull
off and get the left front tire changed. During the collision the throttle linkage broke. The crew was able to
get Jeff back out, however he ended up 12 laps down. 4/14/07 18th After a incident
in hot laps the crew was able to get Jeff ready for an evening of racing at LVMS. He had a solid heat race, and then
trouble struck the team once again. The throttle began to have problems and Jeff had to pull into the pits for repairs.
He ended up a few laps down. He continues to improve in his Rookie season, and is in the heated hunt for the Rookie
of the Year. 4/7/07 15th Feature Jeff is learning very fast in his rookie year.
He started at the rear of the 22 car field and was able to make some passes and move up to finish 15th, if not for a spin
early in the race a top ten was not out question. 3/31/07 14th Feature Jeff was able
to hold his own in his first feature race. Starting at the rear he was able to make a few passes and maintain a solid
race. #80 Charger - Ben Morris 4/28/07 HEAT WIN - 3rd Feature After
strating on the pole of heat race #2 Ben lead every lap and picked up the victory. After starting on the pole of the
main event he led the first 12 laps of the feature, the car began to fade a little in turns 2 and 4 and Ben dropped to
third. He was able to hold on to third and pick up his first top 5 of the season. A very good night for the #80,
he picked up his first career heat race win and his highest finish ever in a feature. It won't be long before this
car is in victory lane! 4/21/07 6th Feature Ben shook the bad luck and was able to
pick up his first top ten of the season. After staring in the 13th position Ben drove the #80 up to the 6th spot.
A very solid run and a good one to set as a benchmark to improve the car. 4/14/07 17th Feature When
things go bad, they really go bad! Ben started in the 12th position and worked his way up to 6th with some great driving.
He then spun to avoid another car who brought out the caution. During the spin the exhaust got caught in the "rumble
strips" and began to drag. After a trip to the pits to have it ripped off he was able to finish 17th. Ben
turned his fastet lap ever in a Charger at an 17.6, it won't be long before the #80 is sitting in victory lane. 4/7/07
13th Feature Ben had his Camaro back out at The Bullring. After the horrible crash in Test N Tune the
crew was finally able to finish it and get it back to The Bullring, he was running in the top five before it began to overheat
during a caution and he had to pull off the track to get it cooled off. Ben then pulled out at the rear of the field
on the lead lap and was able to work his way to 13th in the last few laps. 3/31/07 19th Feature Ben
had the spare car out for the season opener. While running 7th a bump by another car ended up in a flat tire.
After pulling into the pits and getting the tire changed Ben was able to pull out a top twenty. #01
Charger - John Wright 4/28/07 9th Feature After working his way into the top five
the #01 car began to overheat. A caution came out and John was able to pull off and get the hood yanked and the
car cooled off. The crew did a great job and he did not go down any laps. After he pulled back on he was able
to pick up a top ten. 4/21/07 14th Feature John was able to run another smooth and
consistent race and stayed in the battle for Rookie of the Year. 4/14/07 13th Feature John
once again almost broke into the top ten. With smooth driving and a smart race he was able to finish 13th. He
is only 4 points out of the Rookie of the Year battle, and turned his fastest lap ever at an 18.2. 4/7/07
11th Feature John almost got that wanted top ten, just finishing outside with an 11th place finish. John
continues to improve from week to week and is in the lead for Rookie of the Year at this time. 3/31/07
15th Feature In his racing debut John was able to mix it up and finish in the top 15 in a 22 car field. Moved to Archives 4/9/07 THE
ST.PATRICKS DAY CURSE HITS H-TOWN RACING.... March 17, 2007 - The Test N Tune session
ended with some mixed results for the H-Town Racing Shop. While the Nevada State Bank Racing Team had a good testing
day, other team members Ben Morris and John Wright were hit with the St. Partick's Day Curse. Jim Petrie in the Nevada State Bank Racing Team #1 Super Late Model was able to get about 75 laps under his
belt. The car is there, and with some more practice for Jim they should be able to run up front in 2007. Pat Petrie Jr. left his Nevada State Bank Racing Team #1 IMCA Modified
in the shop so the team could concentrate on getting the Chargers dialed in. Jeff Bargerhuff had a good rookie debut. He consistently improved his lap times each session and will
build upon that on March 24, 2007. Ben Morris
in the #80 was struck by the CURSE. The car was fast, however it did not last long. On lap number 4 of the first
practice session it got away from him and it ended up head first in the wall coming out of turn 2. In order to make
the season opener we will be going to the back up car. THE
CURSE STRIKES AGAIN.....John Wright was motoring down the front stretch when he got rear loose and backed it into the inside
wall on the front stretch. Thanks to Carlos at Nevada Auto Collision we should have it back out on March 24, 2007. Moral of the story, make sure you are wearing green on St. Patrick's
day, because neither Ben or John were. The
Nevada State Bank Racing Team would like to thank Force 2 - Mike Haslam for all of his help for 2007. Moved to Archives on 3/19/07 H-Town Racing would like to welcome LAS VEGAS ORTHOPEDICS MARY ANN SHANNON, M.D., a secondary sponsor, to

Jr. Qualified 18th out of over 50 cars into the A-Main Finished
13th in the A-Main "This was a very good way to rebound from the engine problems
occured in the 06 season. With a new engine, and special thanks to Jack's Machine Shop for getting the parts back
so fast, the new set up providied by our crew chief Joe Petrie and all the help from John Wright the car was faster than it
has ever been. Pat did a solid job qualifying and running a great race. In the A-Main it was very hard to pass,
all cars were pretty much running the same lap times. Great job Pat, Joe, and John, another great team effort." Jim Petrie Quailfied 39th out
of 55 cars into the B-Main 18th place finish in B-main "Jim
was happy with how we ran in The Fall Classic, all of our goals we had set before the race were reached. Since
this was the first time we ever actually raced the car we feel pretty good about the results. We broke the car in early
on practice Friday, a new fender and nose to follow, and then qualified the best we could. After qualifying into the
B-Main, which was our goal before the race, we had a pretty solid run going until Jim made a mistake coming out of turn 2
and dropped from 12th back to 18th. We figured out what we need to do for next year and will be much improved by
07" Special Thanks to the crew: Joe
Petrie, John Wright, Jeff Bargerhuff, Tom Youmans, Sam Petrie, Mark Lawson, Scott, and Dad for all of your help during the

Petrie Jr #1 9/30/06 After a Friday night practice full of fuel pump issues, the crew got the car back
together for Saturday nights race. After starting on the pole and leading the first four laps, Pat became victim to
the infamous Bullring Train and was shuffled all the way back to 11th. After passing his way back to up to 7th the field
stayed that way for the remainder of the race. With four laps to go the #1 began to smoke and the water temperature
raised to 270 degrees. We got the engine tore down on Sunday and found a cracked cylinder in the block. We will
have the spare engine in and the #1 will be ready to roll on the final points race 10-7-06. Jim
Petrie - 9/16/06 Not a good race weekend for the #1 car. After a 4th place finish in the heat Jim
knew that something was wrong with the car. The car just wasn't getting any power to the tires, and there was not
enough time to trouble shoot and fix the problem before the feature. Jim tried to run the fastest the car would go and
was up to 8th before it finally quit going. We pulled off with two laps to go and ended up with a 14th place finish.
The transmission finally died and is now a great boat anchor. Because of the poor finish Jim dropped to 4th
in the point standings 2 points out of third. Our goals still remain the same, picking up a win and moving to third
in points. Jim Petrie - 9/2/06 After a lenghty break from The Bullring Jim had one
of his best races of the season. Starting outside third row he ended up with the lead after 2 laps. Once he was
in the lead Jim was PUNTED, TAKEN OUT, SPUN OUT, by the #17 of Nate Geisen. During that incident both lower fender pins
were broke. The #1 pulled into the pits and the crew got the car back on the track as the green flag flew. Jim
came all the way from last to finish second in the reamining 18 laps. After the second place finish the #1 now sits in 3rd
place for the championship standings. Ben Morris #80 9/16/06 Not
a good night for H-Town Racing. Ben had a solid run going, running in the top 5, before being involved in an racing
incident and having both bumpers torn off the car. He pulled in and the crew got them back out before going down
any laps, and salvaged a 11th place finish. With one race to go Ben hopes to get another top 5 and build towards
next year. Ben Morris #80 9/2/06 Congrats BEN! He picked up his best finish
ever with a 3rd place. He also turned his fastest lap ever with a 17.8. If he keeps on improving like this his
teammate better watch out. Still staying strong in the top ten in points, Ben hopes to keep the "Pereiwinkle Bandit"
improving. Pat Petrie #1 - 9/2/06 Pat didn't get that top five run again,
however 6th is the next best thing. We tightened the car up a little to much and just could not loosen it back up before
the feature. The car was pushing real bad, kind of like the armored car going around The Bullring. Pat
is only 12 points out of 6th place in points and with two races to go the goal is to take that spot. Pat
Petrie #1 - 8/19/06 Pat had a solid run picking up a 4th place finish. After starting on the pole and
being sent to the back after a first lap incident Pat worked all the way back up to a good 4th place finish. Pat and
the crew continue to work every week to try and better the handling of this car. Sometimes it is one step forward and
two steps back, but we will get it figured out. Jim Petrie #1 - 8/12/06 Jim moved to third
in the point standings after another top five finish in the feature. While starting outside row four, he moved
his way up to second half way through the race while battling a front end problem. The idler arm came loose after
a broken bolt and the front was wobbling and the car acted different every corner. On the final restart at lap 22 the
car pushed up due to the mechanical problems and Jim was able to hold on for a fourth place finish. In the heat he started inside
last row while the leaders jumped out to a large lead, while finally passing some slower cars Jim was able to reel in
the lead pack and finish fourth. He also turned the second fastest time of the night with an 17.728. Ben
Morris #80 - 8/12/06 The debut of the #80 Charger was one full of mixed results. After tweaking and tweaking
and even more tweaking the team was able to go from 19.100 second laps to the fastest lap Ben has ever turned, a 17.993.
Starting in the last row of heat #1 Ben was able to end up with a 6th place finish giving him the inside pole for the feature.
Ben led the first lap before breaking the throttle linkage coming out of turn 2 on lap 2. After the long push to the
pits the crew was able to get the #80 back on the track and finish 14th. Pat Petrie #1 - 8/8/06 Pat
is currently eight in the 2006 point standings, working hard to get back into the top five. He worked his way up to
4th in points before blowing an engine in qualifying and dropping to 11th because of the DNF. Jim Petrie
#1 - 8/8/06 Jim Petrie is currently 4th in the 2006 Charger Division point standings at The "Bullring."
With four races to go, he still has a chance to reach the goal of a track championship. Ben Morris
#80 - 8/8/06Ben is currently in his first full season of competition. He is battling tough staying in
the top ten in points all season. With the debut of the NEW #80 Charger on 8/12/06 he hopes to get into the top five
by seasons end. |
